Bottom Fishing Charters

Interactive and always a surprise.

Bottom fishing is a little more interactive. You will be dropping to the bottom, casting and retrieving, and constantly reeling or jigging your rod. Including Ling Cod, Quail Backs, Yellow Eye, Black Rock Fish, Blue Rock Fish, Vermillion, China, Cabazon, and more, we usually only have to go out 1-2 miles offshore, unless we're going for deep water Ling Cod at 1-15 miles offshore.

One of the fun aspects of this fishery is you never know what fish will bite your line. There is a huge variety of different species of bottom fish and it’s always a surprise to see what you’ll pull up.

Pricing: $700 boat cost for up to 4 people

Trip Length: 6-8 hour days

Limit: 5 rock fish, and 2 ling cod (min 22")

How To Prepare:

Getting your license:

Be sure to get your one-day fishing license at least one day before meeting at Garibaldi Marina for your charter trip as we often leave earlier than any licensing dealer is open for business. You can get a license on the ODFW mobile app, or at an authorized dealer like most sporting goods stores.

If you are prone to sea-sickness:

  • Be sure to start taking anti-nausea medication at least two days before the trip to prepare your body for being on the ocean.
  • It is highly recommended that you do not drink alcohol the night before an ocean fishing trip.
  • It is also highly recommended that you do not eat greasy foods or dairy products the day of or night before your charter trip.
  • Please note: returning to port for sea-sickness is only done if the case is severe enough to require doing so.

  • A $99 deposit (payable check, Venmo, Paypal, or invoice) is required for all bookings, reserves your date., and will be credited toward a fulfilled trip.
  • If you cancel your trip within 7 days of your booking, your deposit is forfeited.
  • If the captain needs to cancel your trip due to weather, you will receive a full refund of your deposit and any monies received right away, unless your trip can be rebooked.
  • Want to stay in Garibaldi before or after your trip?  One good option near the marina is camping at The Old Mill which has tent sites and full RV hook-up site options available. Find out more about their rates and accommodations here.

Bottom Fishing Charter Reviews

T-Sea Charters Bottom Fishing Charter 1

"Had the best experience with Captain Kevin Teasdale of T-Sea charters. He runs a very safe and extremely smooth operation. Without question he is one of the most experienced captains I have been out with. He was able to target the fish perfectly and had it down to a science. We all went home with plenty of fish and crab. All-in-all was a great trip from start to finish. He even let us play our choice of music on his boat and was very accommodating. I am going to schedule another trip for my work team soon for a team building outing. Can’t think of time or money better spent. A++"

"During one of the hardest times in my life Kevin gave me an opportunity to enjoy a beautiful day out on the ocean. He put us directly on the fish and we limited out in no time. Kevin has a huge heart for veterans and is a veteran himself. Honestly he just has a huge heart for anyone. I had never been much of a fisherman but I was able to catch my limit with the help of his knowledge and experience. Thank you T-Sea Charters!"

Then God said, "Let the waters swarm with fish & other life. Let the skies be filled with birds of every kind." So God created great sea creatures & every living thing that scurries & swarms in the water, & every sort of bird - each producing offspring of the same kind. And God saw that it was good. Then God blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful & multiply. Let the fish fill the seas, & let the birds multiply on the earth." Genesis 1:20-22
